I illustrated the task images for two mathbooks – something between 600-1000 spot illustrations. So far this has been my biggest and longest work assignment. The images included animals, plants, toys, puzzles etc. It was very important to keep the images simple enough so they wouldn’t disturb the kids from learning.
I worked with vectors, because some of the images appears very small in the final product. Vectors are the best when sharp and clean images are needed.
The series is called Milli and there are more than one illustrator involved. Noora Katto is a talented illustrator who made the main images for the first grade book and Juha Koivusalo is the man responsible for the third grade main images. And I made most of the puzzles and symbols seen in the books.
